Traveling can be stressful without proper planning! Things can get left behind during the rush to make a flight or hit the road at a certain time. You can forget phone chargers, that extra swimsuit or toiletries! No more are the days of feeling anxious or forgetting a must-pack item. Check out our top tips for how to best pack for a vacation!

#1 Pack like a pro

Having a list of your go-to items for travel is the perfect way to stay on top of all of those items to add to your suitcase. You can create a document on your computer or cell phone of your repeat favorite items to make things simplified and easy. I also recommend checking out our freebie packing list and printing out a copy each time you book your travel. I have provided you with an outline to get your outfits for each day prepared and excited for the upcoming trip. This download will certainly help you confidently create that packing plan!

#2 Don’t forget your travel buddies

If you are traveling with family or friends, make sure they are covered too! I can not tell you how many times my husband has blamed me for a forgotten phone charger. Take an extra few minutes to remind others of those important items or get your kiddos ready for the upcoming vacation days. If you are traveling with children, make sure they have things to occupy their time in the car, plane, etc. Snacks are also a great thing to include in your bag and theirs! Don’t waste money at airport kiosks, but save a few dollars by bringing things from home.

#3 Plan time for YOU

While vacations may include family activities or scheduled commitments, make sure to include some “me-time” while you are away. Don’t be that person who ends up needing a vacation from their vacation! Include some relaxation time. You may need to hire childcare or have family help out, but alone time to just yourself is certainly something I recommend to include on your vacay plans. It doesn’t have to be a whole day type of thing, but include a few hours to yourself in the schedule.
