The Dutch Halo
This stylish up-do is a variation of the halo braid, but is more appropriate for brides who have extra time to get their hair styled. It also works best or woman with longer hair or extensions. Start by creating a side part and pulling the hair into a Dutch braid (or inverted French braid). Keep braiding the hair until the braid reaches the other side of the head. Secure the braid with bobby pins and light hairspray. Like the halo braid, the Dutch halo gives off an ethereal, angelic appearance while simultaneously maintaining a very natural, low-maintenance do. This is definitely the ideal look for anyone having an outdoor wedding on the beach or during the spring season.
The Flapper Up-do
This hairstyle may have originated in the roaring 20’s, but it’s making a come back in 2017. This effortlessly chic up-do is simple to create and will look magnificent for brides who want a timeless look. This flapper up-do can take on many variations, but a classic style only calls got two sections of hair to loosely be twisted together and held in place with a bobby-pin. Spray with a soft hold hairspray to keep it in place and add a 20’s-style headband to accent the piece. Additionally, you can pull some strands of hair to the front to add volume and accent facial features.
The Knotted Ponytail
While to some, the idea of rocking a ponytail at a wedding might seem strange, with the right styles and variations, it’s a gorgeous look. A styled ponytail is the kind of do that you’d find the effortlessly glamorous Blake Lively donning at a fashion show or an awards event. Of all the ponytails that can be styled for weddings, the knotted ponytail is up there as one of the trendiest. This ponytail style is best reserved for women with longer hair and hair that is naturally voluptuous or can have volume added to it. Simply separate the hair into two sections and twist into a knot followed by a second knot. Secure the hair with a tie and spray lightly. The knotted ponytail can be created with a deep side part, middle part, or no part at all. Another attractive quality about the knotted ponytail is that the ponytail can either be styled super straight, curled, or wavy.
