This year for Thanksgiving my mom made me responsible for all of the Thanksgiving desserts. Because I regularly create dessert tablescapes for clients, I of course had to do the same for our own Thanksgiving. This table had a very simple design – mainly because it so hard to find autumn decor nowadays. Can we talk about that for a second. I went out looking for pumpkins and fall foliage to really spice up my table but apparently unless you purchase those things right before Halloween, all you’re gonna see is Christmas decor. I was so disappointed. It’s really a shame that we just jump straight to Christmas and that such a beautiful holiday is falling by the wayside.
Anyway, I created a hand drawn sign and found a super versatile chalkboard banner. For desserts, I went crazy with mini dessert goodness. The cupcakes we made by my awesome friend Melisa at Melisa’s House of Cupcakes but everything else was cooked by yours truly. We had Chocolate Cake Bites with Peanut Butter Frosting, Mini Pumpkin Pies, Mini Pecan Pies, and Cheesecake Bars. Check out the desserts below and the awesome recipes I used to create these tasty little goodies.
